This demonstration application is using three different list of values (countries, american countries with the region name (both with 20 items) and authors(about 1 000 items). Those might not (and, as a matter of fact, don't) represent real world data (we are well aware that a few more countries exist :o).

All the LOV are retrieved from the server during the start up of the application to show how a real application benefits from the list of values (simpler data retrieval and faster execution, both on the client and on the server). When needed, the caches are cleared (mainly in the performance screen) always to show a real world usage of the LOV.
