HOW TO DEPLOY EXO PORTAL IN JONAS

This document describes how to deploy eXo Portal in JOnAS application server.


1) Download JOnAS 4.5.3 from the URL http://jonas.objectweb.org. Unzip the
   downloaded package.

2) Create a JONAS_ROOT environment variable that references the directory of
   your JOnAS installation.

3) Then unzip exo-jonas.zip in your JOnAS installation directory. This will
   patch some configuration files. In addition, this will deploy an ear file
   containing eXo portlet applications. Please note that libraries are not
   bundled in this ear file, but are put in a directory common to all JOnAS
   applications. This will allow to deploy additional Portal Application bundled
   as simple war files.

4) Change the current directory to $JONAS_ROOT/bin/unix or %JONAS_ROOT%\bin\nt
   depending on whether your are running on *n*x* or Windows. Then issue the
   command "jonas start".

5) With a browser, access the URL "http://localhost:9000/portal". The default
   administration account is "admin", password "exo".
